| Readership Description | The growth of the Port Douglas & Mossman Gazette over the past 12 months is a local success story we're proud to tell. In May 2007, the Gazette was re-launched to its readers as an exciting, modern, full colour publication and the response has been overwhelming. For starters, circulation has grown 18.5 per cent in some weeks, taking our total weekly distribution to 6,200 and weekly readership to 20,000*. Apart from improving the Gazette's look and format, we also listen to our readers. Gazette readers are intelligent and have their own opinions. They rightfully expect a meaningful relationship with their local paper and they want to be informed. The Gazette's editorial team lives in the same community as its readers. We champion the same causes and report without fear or favour to preserve the integrity of what we believe in. We campaign for change, highlight wrong-doings and demand action. As the figures show, Gazette's readers have responded enthusiastically to our renewed editorial committment and we are proud to be continuing this into the future.
